Nashua Lands on Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live”

For the second year in a row, Nashua nabbed a spot on Money magazine’s annual “Best Places to Live In America 2017” survey, coming in at #57.

The magazine partnered with Realtor.com for the first time in its 30 years of ranking to examine housing markets throughout the country; that shift in focus could explain Nashua’s drop from last year’s #16 position. Besides affordable housing, a healthy economy and high quality of life were defining factors for the 100 communities selected in the survey released Monday.

Here is Nashua’s breakdown, per the magazine:

Population
89,735
Median Home Price
$ 242,088
Projected Job Growth
5.2%
Median Household Income
$ 66,872
Clear Days per Year
199
Average Commute Time
24 minutes
High School Graduation Rate
89.0%

The #1 spot went to Fishers, Indiana – but I bet they don’t have triangle manhole covers or a park as beautiful as Mine Falls, just sayin’.

(And here’s hoping next year the Nashua picture might be of Mine Falls or one of the city’s many other beautiful areas that isn’t related to downtown!)
