Students in Nashua are gearing up for school again. For some families, making sure their children have all the supplies they need to succeed a struggle.
The Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter is attempting to ease that burden by reaching 2,200 kids in need of backpacks and supplies this year – and you can help! The Soup Kitchen needs 300 more new 6th-12th grader backpacks for its “Backpacks for Back to School” distribution program this week. They’ve already supplied 500 backpacks filled with new school supplies to thrilled children – on just the first day!
Other items they still need:
dry erase markers
You can drop off donations at the Soup Kitchen, 2 Quincy Street on Tuesday or Wednesday between 7am-6pm.
Did you know? The Soup Kitchen regularly services almost 5,000 children from newborns to 18 year olds.
