Local authorities announced the arrest of a Nashua man accused of killing his neighbor with a hand-held weight.
Devin Tappan, 30, was arraigned Monday afternoon at Nashua District Division Court on second-degree murder charges in the death of Javier Rivera Afanador, 45. He had been jailed since January 7 on unrelated charges.
Police discovered the body of Afanador on January 6 after receiving an anonymous call for a welfare check on 32 Kinsley Street, Apartment 1. An autopsy on Sunday revealed Afanador, who lived in Apartment 8, died of “multiple blunt trauma to the head”.
